Planar power devices

Planar power devices are flat-structured power semiconductor components typically featuring planar windings formed by either flat copper lead frames or PCB boards etched with copper spiral lines (with primary and secondary windings interleaved to minimize leakage inductance). These are paired with low-profile magnetic cores and housed in planar packages. They offer advantages such as excellent high-frequency performance, high power density, high efficiency, and superior insulation properties.
